Ski Challenge

Established in 1985, Ski Challenge is an amazing recreational program whereby adults 18 and older can join ski leagues.  During the first year after the organization was founded, approximately 35 people got involved but today, there are close to 2,000 skiers.  For adults who want to experience racing on the slopes, Ski Challenge is an outstanding opportunity.

With the program offered through Ski Challenge, skiers would go through dual and timed modified giant slalom racing courses.  As a result, the skiers have the opportunity to earn different qualifications, which includes handicap, team, and medal points.  In addition to having the chance to ski for those who love a challenge, Ski Challenge also opens doors for people to have a way of socializing.

For each of the races associated with Ski Challenge, there are awards and even door prizes.  If you think you might be interested in joining, you can visit www.skichallenge.com. There, you will gain tremendous insight into the program and find answers to all your questions. You will even find links that will take you to the registration area of the site to get started.

The great thing about Ski Challenge is that you do not have to be an expert skier.  In fact, there are many beginners who are interested in learning and becoming better.  However, if you are the type of person who lives for a challenge, someone who adores competition, then Ski Challenge is the perfect solution.  Instead of joining a softball team or bowling league, you can ski.

Another great thing about Ski Challenge is that you do not need to have an established team to join.  In fact, there are many individuals who will sign up and then be directed to a team.  That way, if you want to ski with this organization, you can.  With this, the professionals of the organization will look at your skiing level and find out what type of people you are most interested in skiing with so a good match can be made.

For the cost of Ski Challenge, you will be surprised at how little it is, especially for all you get.  For an adult registration for all leagues, the cost is just $110 prior to November 1.  Then after that date, the price is $115.  Some people choose to pay for the league upon arriving to one of the trips, which would then cost $120.  In any case, the cost is reasonable considering all you get.

Now, if you participate in seven races, the cost of Ski Challenge will provide you with a tee-shirt and big, as well as the chance to win various door prizes and awards.  After the races, your score is sent automatically to Nastar.  Keep in mind, you would still have the responsibility of paying for the chairlift and any equipment but again, this is a great option that does not cost a fortune.
